Case Study: SuperValu BallybofeyThe SolutionHighly energy efficient Costan cabinets were selected for the store, using EC energy efficient fans, T5 lighting and Danfoss electronic expansion valve controllers. In addition, this store had the first installation of Costan Tortuga low temperature cabinets in Ireland, one of the most energy efficient solutions to low temperature frozen food storage and display. A highly efficient refrigeration pack system was custom built and installed using the latest EC energy efficient condenser fan technology, sub-cooling and inverter driven compressors. In addition to this, there is an extremely efficient heat recovery system utilizing the waste energy to provide domestic hot water. The shop floor is heated and comfort cooled when necessary by the latest generation VRF air conditioning system, which provides year-round temperature control whilst remaining energy efficient. All refrigeration equipment is monitored by the latest generation of electronic central control systems from Danfoss, with command and control functions as well as remote dial in facility, and energy monitoring. The ResultThe client now enjoys a state of the art installation, which is energy efficient, reliable and delivers the latest merchandising solutions for a modern food retail outlet. |
