Case Study: Ryan’s Super Valu Grange

The Solution

State of the art Costan chilled and frozen display cases were selected for the store including some very special one off’s like a full shop around island of chilled multideck with hexagonal ends- the first of its kind anywhere in Europe. A very efficient refrigeration pack system was custom built and installed using the very latest EC energy efficient condenser fan technology, sub cooling and inverter driven compressors. A very sophisticated Heat recovery system was also installed which provides hot water and space heating.

All refrigeration equipment is monitored by the latest generation of electronic control systems from Danfoss, with control and command functions as well remote dial in facility. Cross also installed their Cross Total Energy Management system which provides very accurate information on exactly where energy is being used within the store.

Super Valu Grange was also one of the very first stores in Ireland to fit all their chilled and frozen cabinets with state of the art LED lights manufactured by Nualight and installed by Cross.

The Result

Super Valu Grange went on to win Super Valu store of the year in only its second year in business. The store has been a massive success and the owner is benefitting from having the most energy efficient installation possible.
