Main Contractor: H&J Martin
Mechanical Fit out: Cross Refrigeration

Client Brief

Cross Refrigeration were employed by TK Maxx to provide on a design and build basis the mechanical fit out of seven stores in Ireland over a three year period. The stores were fitted out on a fast track basis, TK Maxx established at the outset of this contract of their zero snagging policy. Health & Safety were to be of paramount importance on these sites and was managed diligently throughout the duration of the projects.

The Solution

The stores were fitted out with Daikin VRV and split air conditioning equipment to provide the heating and cooling to the sales and back of house areas. The systems were controlled using a BMS system which interfaced with Daikin BACNET and ultimately controlled remotely by personnel at the TK Maxx head office in the UK. Daikin Vam units provided the ventilation to the areas and were also integrated into the controls system. The staff toilets were also included in the mechanical package, Cross Refrigeration subcontracted this aspect of work to a qualified plumber and controlled it through the mechanical contract.

The Result

The zero snagging policy was adhered to rigidly and the stores were delivered fully operational on time to the client for the pre-scheduled opening dates.
