The SolutionCarrier equipment was selected for the project, flow and return branches were taken from the landlords system to provide cooling to the internal water cooled Carrier condensing units. The Carrier condensing units were positioned in a plant room within the River Island store. The fan coil units were connected to the local condensing units with a refrigerant link providing cooling to the sales and back of house areas. Some of the fan coils have heating elements which can provide heating if required. The systems are all controlled by a centralised controller positioned within the manager’s office. Heat recovery ventilation and all the toilet extract was part of the Cross Refrigeration package. The ResultThe store has a very efficient air conditioning system which can be enjoyed by all its customers, with all the environmental benefits of centralised plant. |
