Client Brief

Cross Refrigeration were selected following a competitive tender to decommission a redundant water chiller serving the hotels water based air conditioning system. The existing chiller had to be removed and a new 890kW high efficiency chiller installed into the existing position. Because of the hotels proximity to Manchester Airport road closures and permits were required from the airport authorities to allow this process to take place.

The Solution

A high efficiency Rhoss 890kW high efficiency chiller was installed as a replacement for the existing apparatus and connected to the existing pipe work. Alterations were made to the existing power supply to accommodate the new chiller. The existing system was flow balanced to accommodate lower pressure drops in the high efficiency chiller.

The Result

The hotel has a new high efficiency Rhoss chiller which provides chilled water at extremely economical rates to the hotels bedrooms and public areas.
