Baker Street Office & Residential Development

The Project

This is an office and residential development in the centre of London's affluent Baker Street area, the office Development has been constructed for and on behalf of the Bank of Bahrain to be used as their central London base. The air conditioning industry is constantly being challenged to provide greater efficiency, noise reduction and ultimately extremely high standards of installation and project coordination, this project has been no exception, our team consisting of manufacturers, installers and project management has risen to the challenge once again and delivered a project that we all can be proud of.

The Solution

As part of an ongoing quest for efficiency and noise reduction by central London councils, Mitsubishi WR2 water cooled VRF systems were used in this building offering double heat recovery through both the refrigerant and water circuits. The units are cooled by utilizing an abstractive consumption borehole system to provide approx 10% of the energy required for the operation of the building and is aiming for a very high BREEAM and Eco homes rating. The Mitsubishi WR2 systems also offer the advantage of being located within the building and therefore removing any noise contribution from the exterior of the property.

The residential block associated within this development is also air conditioned using Mitsubishi Electric equipment offering a very high level control and performance to the potential residents for years to come.

Result

This is a very high caliber building and has given The Cross Group the opportunity to demonstrate our company's abilities at the highest level as a contractor and Mitsubishi BSP installer within the Air Conditioning Industry in the UK.
